In my areas of expertise, labour law and commercial litigation, preparation of legal proceedings is of particular importance. This includes not only thoroughly analysing the legal situation, but also, and in particular, researching my client and the opposing party. As a lawyer, I am repeatedly confronted with new and challenging situations, both in contract negotiations and in court, that require an immediate, yet experienced response. The ability to react appropriately in unexpected situations is what characterises a successful lawyer.

Intellectual property law, in particular patent law, trademark law and competition law
Technology and intellectual property have fascinated me since my time at the Vienna Technical Museum. It is therefore almost logical that these topics have also become the focus of my legal work. Today, I represent clients in national and international court proceedings concerning intellectual property rights, in particular patents and trademarks, as well as in disputes relating to unfair competition law. I also represent clients before the Austrian Patent Office and the European Union Intellectual Property Office in trademark matters. Out of court, I advise on the development, management and examination of intellectual property portfolios, the exploitation of intellectual property rights and the drafting of licence agreements. It is important to me to understand the needs of my clients – namely, the economic background to the legal issue – and to advise and represent them accordingly.
